Baby shower bingo: the game that runs itself
Bingo is the workhorse of baby showers because it works in parallel with everything else. Two ways to run it:
Way 1 — gift bingo (classic)
Guests mark squares as the mom opens matching gifts (diapers, onesie, blanket…). The game plays itself during the slowest part of the shower and turns gift-watching into a sport. Needs: cards whose words match plausible gifts.
Way 2 — caller bingo
Cut the word list into strips, draw from a bowl, call out. Faster, works when gifts are group-funded or opened later. First row/column/diagonal wins; play "blackout" for a second round if the crowd is into it.

Why unique cards decide the game
Free printable sets typically repeat 4–6 layouts. With 15 guests, three people share each layout — so three people shout BINGO on the same call, and the moment deflates. Individually shuffled cards produce one winner and real tension. Our game maker generates up to 30 unique cards with the mom's name on each, plus the call list pre-formatted for cutting.

Frequently asked questions
How many bingo cards do I need?
One per guest. Generators that shuffle each card individually (rather than repeating 4 layouts) keep the game competitive at any size.
What size grid for baby shower bingo?
5×5 with a FREE center is standard — 24 words fill a card, which is why word lists of 25–30 give good variety.
What are good baby bingo prizes?
Small and universal: candles, chocolates, coffee cards. Two rounds (line + blackout) = two winners = fewer hurt feelings.
