He Said / She Said: 45 statements and the reveal that sells it

The mechanic: guests read statements ("made the first move", "is the better driver") and circle HIM or HER. Then the couple reveals the truth — ideally disagreeing with each other in real time, which is the entire show.

Statements that generate arguments (the good kind)

Classics: said "I love you" first · made the first move · is always late · better cook · better driver · spends more shopping · hogs the remote · apologizes first · snores · steals the blankets.
Spicier: stalked the other online first · has more exes · cried during the proposal · wanted the bigger wedding · will forget the anniversary · texted their mom about the first date · has the worse road rage · takes longer to get ready.
Sweet closers: is the bigger romantic · believed in love at first sight · planned the honeymoon · says "you hang up first".

Collecting answers without a fight

Ask each half separately (text works) and record BOTH answers per statement. Where they disagree — and they will on 3–4 — mark it in your host key: those are your comedy beats, save them for last.

Format and scoring

Ten to fifteen statements printed as a two-column circle-sheet. One point per match with the couple's "official" answer; disagreements count for everyone (announce this — the room cheers). Our game maker prints the guest sheets and your answer key from statement | him/her lines, personalized with the couple's names.

Frequently asked questions

How many statements should the game have?

10–15. Enough for rhythm, short enough that the reveal round stays punchy.

Can this work for a baby shower?

Yes — the same mechanic becomes "Mommy or Daddy?" with parenting statements ("who will change more diapers?"). Our generator switches modes automatically.

What if the couple disagrees on an answer?

That's the best outcome — everyone scores the point and the couple settles it live. Mark expected disagreements in your key and read them last.
